Rain

Didnt think we would ever see rain but yesterday we received 2.6 inches.  I do not think it could have come at a better time for at least the farmers who were just about ready to plow under the corn.  For us much needed relief.  The rain come down hard and over a 4 hour time frame which really did not soak up the much needed spots but we have to take what we can get.  All the bunkers, washed out and we are working on pushing the sand back in place.  The rest of the course is in good shape but we are on the paths today because there are many low areas that are very wet we will be back to normal Friday.  The high dry spots are still very dry but much less stressed today.  Over the last 2 days, we were out solid timing the approaches which was about as prefect timing as you could ask for. We are also very lucky that it is not too hot today.  With all the soaked low areas and high humidity this is not a good combination.

Hopefully, we can get some drying before the heat comes back so we will not see an explosion of disease on the course.
