Yesterday, we completed the sod work around 11 green. It is very hard to see much change here unless you really compare to photos.
We actually removed some of the existing putting surface and some extra rough to blend in the new sod seamlessly The entire back part of the green will play quite differently now with the slope behind the green will now be something that you will have to take in account when playing your approach shot to a back pin.
Now when you look at the green complex you can tell that this is the way it is suppose to look like and the way John wanted it to be. The angle of the green will favor to the right now and in the spring I will change the mowing line to correspond with the original design.
